(CNN) – An argument inside the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant on Veteran`s Memorial Parkway ends with violence. As a man in a cap jumps from a dining booth and points a hand gun at someone in the foyer, police say this is where the first shots were fired.
Monday night some 40 patrons were inside the St. Charles city restaurant about 8:20 pm when three adults came through the check point.
Detectives identify two of them as persons of interest. They want to talk to 24-year old Donesha Johnson and 23-year old Seven Strauther about the crime.
A man was shot multiple times, first in the restaurant foyer and then outside on the parking lot. Shots shattered glass in one door, some staff and patrons hid in a locked storeroom until police arrived.
St. Charles police said the victim was hospitalized in serious condition. A restaurant employee told fox two the shooting followed an argument involving people attending a child’s birthday party.
Our partners at the St. Louis post dispatch say the mother of the child is 20-year old Aesian Clay.
Authorities charged her with an attempted assault felony. Her bond has been set at 50,000 dollars cash only. A restaurant spokesman said Tuesday the firm was ‘cooperating fully with the authorities.’
