Vaping: Formaldehyde In The Juice?
Study finds e-cigarette vapor contains elevated levels of formaldehyde.

(KGW) E-cigarettes have exploded in popularity and are generally promoted as being safer than smoking, but a new study out of Portland State University has linked high levels of formaldehyde to “vaping”.

Portland State University chemistry professor Dr. David Payton found that when using an e-cigarette at it’s highest heat setting, the vapor produced contains hidden formaldehyde at levels five to 15 times higher than regular cigarettes.

“We simply need to do a lot more study to understand these devices,” he says.
