PVTA and FRTA cancelling Tuesday bus service

Last PVTA buses leave at 10:00 P.M. Monday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – All public transit services throughout the Pioneer Valley will be shut down on Tuesday. The Pioneer Valley Transit Authority and the Franklin Regional Transit Authority both announced that service will be unavailable.

The last PVTA buses will leave from the Springfield bus terminal, the Academy of Music in Northampton, and the Haigis Mall in Amherst at 10:00 Monday night. The John W. Olver Transit Center in Greenfield will be closed.

Both the PVTA and FRTA expect to resume service on Wednesday, with the exception of the FRTA’s Route 23, which won’t resume until Thursday.
