Amtrak suspends service in New England region

New Haven and Springfield are also suspended

WASHINGTON (AP) — Amtrak has announced that it will suspend rail service in the New England region and modify service between New York and Washington on Tuesday due to snowy conditions.

Amtrak announced Monday evening that the Acela Express and Northeast Regional service between New York and Boston will be suspended Tuesday. Other rail lines running between New York City and Albany, New York; Brunswick, Maine and Boston; Washington and St. Albans, Vermont; and New Haven, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts are also suspended.

In a release Amtrak said rail service between New York and Washington will be modified, and passengers should expect reduced frequency in service.
