FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Some burglars apparently went to great lengths to break into a Fort Wayne bank and then didn’t take anything, according to a police report.

It all happened between Sunday night and early Monday morning in the Northbrook Village shopping center off Dupont and Lima Roads.

The police report said someone got inside First Federal bank through the wall from the storefront next door, which is empty. The report also said there was another hole in the wall between the vacant store and Elite Dance, which is on the other side from the bank.

The officer said in the report that he saw what appeared to be drywall dust on the floor in the front and back of the dance studio.

NewsChannel 15 was told nothing was actually taken from the bank, but the report said cash, a few yoga mats and an iPad mini were stolen from Elite Dance.

The property manager told NewsChannel 15 all the holes in the walls are already repaired. First Federal said not only was the damage repaired, but “additional security has been implemented.” Elite Dance declined to comment.
