Woman arrested for OUI after crash involving police cruiser

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. (WWLP) – Police in Berkshire County say that a woman was drunk when she was involved in a crash with a police cruiser early Sunday morning.

The North Adams Police Department posted on their official Facebook page that Jaime N. Marin is charged with operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor and failure to stop or yield.

According to police, the crash involved a marked police cruiser, and took place at River Street and Marshall Street shortly before 2:00 A.M. Police arrested Marin after the accident, suspecting that she had been driving her car while intoxicated.

Neither Marin nor the officer who was driving the cruiser was injured in the accident, but the cruiser was badly damaged and cannot be driven at this time.
