CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – Growing houseplants indoors in the wintertime can pose some problems. Hot, dry indoor air invites certain unwanted pests! The Green Thumb Guru Ed Sourdiffe, from the Western Mass Master Gardener Association, shared tips to keep your plants safe.
How to Get Rid of Winter Plant Pests
Counteracting the dry indoor winter air: Humidifiers, misting, showering your plants, pebble trays, grouping plants.
Winter time insect control: First close observation of the plant, then remedies, dish soap and water spray, neem oil spray, good old hosing down in the sink.
