Rhode Island man plans to attend his 29th Super Bowl

He says he’s missed just one Super Bowl since 1986

CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) — A Rhode Island man is gearing up for his 29th trip to the Super Bowl, and he’s even more excited because his favorite team, the New England Patriots, is playing.

WPRO-AM reports that Aram Garabedian plans to attend the Feb. 1 Super Bowl in Glendale, Arizona. The Patriots will play the defending champions, the Seattle Seahawks.

Garabedian is co-managing partner of the Warwick Mall and a former state senator.

He says he’s missed just one Super Bowl since 1986. That was when it was in Minnesota, and the weather was too cold for him.

He traditionally wears a bright red outfit and hat to the Super Bowl, so he stands out.
