Breed: Miniature Pinscher mix
Age: 8 months old
Date of Arrival at Dakin: January 14, 2015
Zoey is a friendly, fun-loving, 8-month old Miniature Pinscher mix! This pretty girl came to Dakin on January 14th and she would make a wonderful pet for a first-time dog owner. Being a puppy, Zoey’s energy level is moderate to high, which means she would need exercise and lots of playtime with her new family!
Although Zoey may act timid when she first meets you, she warms up when given the chance. She’ll need a patient family who can build up her confidence, and show off what a great dog she is! Because of her shyness, Zoey would benefit greatly from Dog Training classes to create a stronger bond between her and her new family. This pup does not have a history of living with cats, but may be friends with your cat after a proper introduction. It is recommended that Zoey’s new family not have children under 13, but if you have younger kids, bring them to meet her at the Springfield Adoption Center, and it may work out fine.
The Pawscars & Red Carpet Fashion Parade – Dakin’s annual fundraiser is a one-of-a-kind event taking place February 28 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield. The Pawscars will be a night that blends a fashion show (starring local celebrities modeling evening wear and accompanied by rescue dogs) with some affectionate spoofing of Hollywood and the Oscars. We’ll show videos submitted by the public of their pets reenacting iconic moments from cinematic history. Tickets are $125 for the dinner and entertainment, $50 for entertainment.
