CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Applying to college can be a daunting task. When it comes to admissions, many students can only wonder why they didn’t get into their dream school. The admissions process could soon be a bit easier for students here in western Massachusetts, and across the country.
Students from Stanford University have been requesting copies of their admission reviews, and making key pieces of them public as a way to help future students.
Recent college grad Vladimir Tokarev of Chicopee says it’s a great idea. “I think it would definitely make you feel comfortable knowing what you can work on, what you can fix and do better on next time.”
The Stanford students hope to see more college students making their admissions records public. Under federal law, universities would have to comply within 45 days.
