Police investigating West Springfield CVS robbery

Suspect allegedly showed handgun and stole prescription pills

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – West Springfield police are looking for a suspect who allegedly showed a handgun at a CVS on 928 Riverdale Street, Monday night.

West Springfield Police Sgt. Nolan Ryan told 22News police received a call around 10:00 PM Monday about an armed robbery at the CVS Pharmacy.

The suspect allegedly showed a small handgun and was able to make off with prescription pills on foot. At the time 22News spoke with West Springfield police, the CVS was taking inventory to see if anything else had been stolen.

Sgt. Ryan said the suspect was described as a “white, light-skinned Hispanic male” wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and gloves, with a red and yellow plaid shirt.
