Blaze Kills Two Children
Louisiana house fire began when children, ages 3 and 4, were left home alone.

(KTVE) Two young children are dead following a house fire in Bastrop, Louisiana.

T’Shae and C.J. Johnson, 3- and 4-years old, were apparently home alone when the fire started.

Johnnie Hall says he and his cousin were driving by when it happened.

“Then we saw this young lady come out the back and we were telling her, ‘Ma’am, ma’am this house is on fire!’ She ran back in, that’s when me and him jumped out ran up to the house and stuff and she was gathering up her babies in this back trailer right here,” he said.

He says he was able to help rescue those two other children and the woman from the trailer behind the home.

Hall says they didn’t realize two other kids were still inside the other home.

“She got a text message or something on the phone saying that there’s two more kids in this front house, so me and him ran back up to this front house it was too hot to get in the front,” said Hall.
