Victim rushed to hospital after Springfield stabbing

Stabbing victim's wounds "not life threatening"

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A man was rushed to the hospital after a stabbing in Springfield’s McKnight neighborhood, Monday night.

Our 22News crew saw police questioning witnesses near the corner of Bay Street and Girard Avenue. One of those witnesses told 22News a victim was taken away in an ambulance shortly after the 5:15 p.m. stabbing incident.

Springfield Police Sgt. Daniel Rigner told 22News that the Detective Bureau is continuing their investigation, but the man is being described as “an uncooperative victim.” He said that the victim is expected to recover from his wounds.
