Subway restaurant in Springfield robbed at gunpoint

No one was hurt during the robbery

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Detectives in Springfield are searching for an armed robber who held up the Subway in Forest Park, Monday night.

Springfield Police Sgt. Lawrence Murphy told 22News that a man with a handgun robbed the Subway at 550 Sumner Avenue around 9:30 Monday.

The suspect ran out of the store with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was hurt.

Also Monday night, police are investigating a stabbing that happened near the corner of Bay Street and Girard Avenue.
