(NBC News) “Boyhood”, a movie about growing up that took a dozen years to film came of age at the Golden Globes Sunday night. The film won Best Drama, Best Supporting Actress for Patricia Arquette and Best Director for Richard Linklater.
The night was full of upsets.
“Transparent”, the Amazon.com series about a transgender parent won Best Comedy and Best Actor for star Jeffrey Tambor, while Gina Rodriguez of first year series “Jane the Virgin” beat out veterans including Julia Louis Dreyfus for Best Actress.
Another first year series, “The Affair”, came away with Best TV Drama and Best Actress for one of its stars, Ruth Wilson.
