Crews working to repair Springfield water main break

Repairs expected to be finished on Laconia St. by the early afternoon

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Several people are without water service following a water main break in Springfield Monday morning.

Joyce Mulvaney, spokesperson for the Springfield Water and Sewer Commission, told 22News that crews are working to repair the break on Laconia Street, which has caused the shut-off of service to some 15 customers.

Mulvaney said that repairs should be complete by about 1:00 P.M.

Laconia Street is a side street in the Boston Road neighborhood, which runs parallel to Verge Street, behind the Haymarket Square shopping plaza.
