WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Brides-to-be crowded the Better Living Center at the Eastern States Exposition grounds Saturday.
They came for a bridal show meet and greet with more than 150 weddings planners and vendors of all types. There were weddings gowns on display, along with men’s formal wear companies, DJ’s, photographers, videographers, and florists.
Many brides came with their fiancés, others brought along their friends or Mothers. 22News asked one mother of the bride what she thinks has changed in wedding planning since her big day.
“I’ve found that nothing is traditional anymore. Everybody kind of wants their own input into the wedding and so tradition has gone out the window I guess,” said Louise Robinson of Springfield.
“With the cakes, now you can get cupcakes, you don’t get the traditional just the cake. The different styles of the wedding dresses have really changed. I like that. Different options now,” said Alyssa Robinson of Springfield.
Saturday’s bridal expo featured weddings options for nearly every budget. This was the 25th annual Springfield bridal show.
