Girl Scouts introduce new cookies

(WTNH)– When it comes to Girl Scout cookies, we’ve all got our favorites. Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs are always among the most popular. But this year, the Scouts are trying to tempt our taste buds with some new flavors.

The Girl Scouts are adding three new flavors to their cookie roster — including two that are gluten-free. One of the gluten-free offerings is called called “Toffee-tastic” — it’s a butter cookie with toffee bits. The other gluten-free option is “Trios” — peanut butter chocolate chip and whole grain oats cookie. The third new flavor is called “Rah-Rah Rasins.” It’s an oatmeal raisin cookie with Greek yogurt-flavored chunks.

The Girl Scouts are trying to make it as easy as possible to get your hands on a box or two of cookies. There’s a Cookie Finder app for both iOS and Android devices. The Scouts in your neighborhood are also selling cookies now and for the first time you can even buy them online in some areas. National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend starts February 27th.
