(AP) – An analysis of the year on Wall Street including a 52-week sector-by-sector roundup and a daily look at the S&P 500 index.

 

NEW YORK — Stocks are pushing further into record territory as the Dow Jones industrial average tops 18,000 points for the first time. Investors cheer new data showing the U.S. economy grew in the third quarter at the fastest pace in more than a decade.
