Some post offices not closing early on Christmas Eve

Self-service kiosks also available at some locations

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Most post-offices around the country will be closing early on Christmas Eve, but if you do need to get to the post office, there are several in our area which will be closing at later times. Here is a list of post offices that will be open after noon on Christmas Eve.

  • Greenfield – Open 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Northampton – Open 9:00 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.
  • Springfield- Main Street, Open 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Westfield – Open 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
  • Wilbraham – Open 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Additionally, the postal service will have self-service kiosks open at some of their locations, which provide all USPS services available from the window except for money orders and passports. The following locations feature the self-service kiosks:

  • Amherst – 145 Universal Dr.
  • East Longmeadow – 119 Industrial Dr.
  • Northampton – 37 Bridge St.
  • Pittsfield – 212 Fenn St.

Mail delivery will take place on Christmas Eve, there will be no mail delivery on Christmas Day, however. All post offices will be closed on Christmas Day, as well as New Year’s Day.
