AVON, Maine (AP) — Police in Maine have charged a woman from western Massachusetts who allegedly pointed a shotgun at her boyfriend, and then used the weapon’s stock to hit his pickup truck.

The Franklin County (Maine) Sheriff’s Department says 47-year-old Diane Bouley of Erving, Mass. was arrested last weekend on charges of domestic violence terrorizing and reckless conduct with a firearm.

Police say Bouley and her boyfriend got into an argument in the town of Avon and she pointed a pump-action shotgun at him. He left and got in his pickup truck.

Bouley allegedly followed and started to beat the truck with the butt of the gun while he dialed 911.

Police say the gun was unloaded when they arrived.

Bouley was in jail Monday night and it was not clear if she had a lawyer.
