Agawam branch of Holyoke Credit Union robbed

Armed, masked man jumped over the counter, reached for cash

AGAWAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Agawam police say a masked man jumped over the counter of a credit union branch and stole money from the drawer.

Police Sgt. Jennifer Blanchette told 22News that the man, who was armed with a handgun, robbed the Holyoke Credit Union at Washington Avenue Extension and Ramah Circle just after 11:00 Tuesday morning.

After stealing the cash from the drawer, the suspect ran away. No one was hurt.

At this point, the suspect is described only as a white or light-skinned man. He was wearing dark clothing and a ski mask at the time of the robbery.
