BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — There’s a familiar face in Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch’s holiday card this year.
Appearing with the Democratic mayor and his family is President Barack Obama, who visited the city in November to headline a campaign rally for Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.
Finch said his eight-year-old son Aiden had an idea that the entire Finch family should pose for a photo with Obama. Finch said they agreed to pose with the president because he has been “a strong friend to Bridgeport.”
In the picture, a smiling Obama can be seen standing with Finch and five members of the mayor’s family.
According to Finch’s office, the card was sent to Bridgeport business leaders, elected officials, city employees, community leaders and constituents. Bridgeport is the state’s largest city.
