WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – West Springfield detectives are investigating the death of a 10-year-old disabled girl who was found “unresponsive” in her home in the Merrick section of the city Friday morning.
West Springfield Police Sgt Nolan Ryan told 22News there have been no arrests and no charges filed. “It’s procedure to have detectives investigate an unattended death when it involves a person this young,” said Sgt Ryan. “She had some unspecified disability.”
Police made the grim discovery on Irving Street some time before 8:00 a.m. Friday.
