Holyoke convenience store robbed at gunpoint

HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Police were able to quickly make an arrest following an armed robbery at a South Holyoke convenience store early Friday afternoon.

Holyoke Police Lt. David Fournier told 22News that around 12:05, a suspect entered the store at 4 Adams Street and showed a gun to the clerk. The suspect made off with cash, but the police were called and officers got a description of the suspect.

One officer in the area spotted the suspect, and caught him following a short chase on foot. The suspect is 17 years old, and his name is not being released because he is a juvenile.
