Bald Eagle’s home cut down

MEDINA, Wash. (KING) – People watched in horror as a man climbed a tree in Medina, Washington Thursday and started chopping and sawing.

The tree appeared to be dead or dying, but the bald eagles that built a nest there were very much alive.

“We’re all shocked,” said Steve Haverly, a construction worker across the street who pulled out his camera phone when he heard the chainsaw’s buzzing. “When the nest feel, we were gasping.”
