Trial set for Amanda Plasse murder case

CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – A man from Springfield charged with stabbing and killing a Chicopee woman in 2011 will go to trial next fall.

The Associated Press reports a Hampden Superior Court judge on Wednesday scheduled 23-year-old Dennis Rosa-Roman’s murder trial for October 27th.

20-year-old Amanda Plasse was found dead in her third-floor apartment in August 2011. Her slaying remained unsolved for about two years until Rosa-Roman was tied to her death through DNA evidence.

He was arrested in November 2013. Rosa-Roman has been held without bail after pleading not guilty.
