CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – Police in Chicopee and on Cape Cod are hoping you can help them find two women who they say are involved in an identity theft scheme.

Chicopee Police Officer Mike Wilk told 22News that the women somehow got a hold of a Yarmouth resident’s credit card information, and used it to make purchases at the Stop & Shop on Memorial Drive in Chicopee, as well as another store in Ludlow.

Yarmouth Police Officer David Schneeweif told 22News that they were called by the resident in early November about the purchases, which were made on November 5. He said it isn’t clear how the suspects obtained the victim’s information, but the card was not physically stolen, as the victim still has it.

If you have any information about the suspects, you are urged to call Chicopee police detectives at (413) 594-1735.
