One Dead In Casino Shootout
Police say man killed during shootout inside Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino was a suspect in several other casino robberies.

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) A suspect who was under surveillance by Las Vegas Metro undercover officers for four days was killed by police inside the casino at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino Sunday.

Police say the man was a suspect in a string of at least four casino robberies over the past few months where he either had a gun or threatened to use explosives.

Captain Matt McCarthy said the detectives who confronted the suspect were trying to make an arrest. Police first used a Taser, and when the suspect went for his waistband an officer fired his weapon. A gun was found on the man. He died at the scene.
