CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – More than 6,000 Holyoke and Chicopee families have been approved for fuel assistance this winter.
These are People who applied for help as early as last summer.
Valley Opportunity Council Fuel Assistance Director Gail Pisacane told 22News, she’s notifying applicants as fast as she can that they quality for financial help to stay warm this winter, “For those who have the highest eligibility and are delivered fuel, we’re able to help them with one thousand twenty five dollars for the season. Those who use the utilities at the highest level we’ll be able to help them with seven hundred.”
Also, because fuel oil is 50 cents cheaper right now, those who heat with oil will see their federal assistance go further.
