MBTA trolleys collided; 7 taken to hospital

BOSTON (WWLP-WHDH) – More than a half a dozen people suffered minor injuries after two MBTA Mattapan trolleys collided in Boston’s Dorchester section Wednesday morning. Boston NBC affiliate WHDH-TV reports that one of the two trolleys was empty and out of service at the time of the crash near the Cedar Grove T station.

Some of the seven people taken to the hospital were MBTA employees.

Buses are currently shuttling travelers between the Ashmont and Mattapan stations.
