CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The night before Thanksgiving is known to be one of the biggest bar nights of the year.
For many restaurants and bars, like the Rumble Seat in Chicopee, this snow definitely impacted the business they normally do on this night.
One bartender told 22News they were hoping more customers would brave the storm, but she was also hoping they’d be smart about their celebrations.
Allison Theroux said, “I worked here the past three years and I did work last Thanksgiving Eve. If you’re going to drive, don’t drink. If you’re going to go out make sure you have a designated driver, or take a taxi, it’s not worth it, with the roads the way they are it’s not worth it.”
The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is traditionally the busiest night of the year for all bars, including the Rumble Seat. So snow aside, they staffed as if it was going to be as busy as last year, just in case.
