MassMutual Executive death ruled as homicide

SIMSBURY, Conn. (WTNH/WWLP) – The death of a MassMutual Executive has been ruled a homicide.

54 year old Melissa Millan died from a stab wound to the chest. She was found lying in the middle of a road on Thursday night in Simsbury, Connecticut. Police said she could have been out jogging when she killed. It’s not clear what exactly happened.

Millan was a senior vice president at MassMutual. She worked in their Enfield, Connecticut division but also worked in Springfield.

Her friends and family gathered Sunday night in Farmington, Connecticut for a vigil to remember her life.
