One of Kansas City's largest homeless shelters says it won't change its policy against allowing same-sex couples.

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (KSHB) One of Kansas City’s largest charitable organizations is facing backlash for their policy that won’t allow for same-sex couples to share a bed.

City Union Mission provides hundreds of beds for the homeless around the metro, including families and couples who provide a marriage certificate.

Even though they shelter people of any sexual orientation, they don’t believe in gay marriage and will not allow gay couples to share a space.
