CHICOPEE, Mass. (Mass Appeal) – You spend all of your time on cooking the delicious meal, but what about the presentation? You can create a centerpiece in moments for your Thanksgiving dinner without spending a lot of money! Tanya Costigan, Owner of Tanya Costigan Events, shared three different tablescape ideas.
Last Minute Tablescape Idea #1 – “Grateful for Family”
Grab all your framed family photos from around the house and set the assortment out along the center of the table, add votive candles (unscented) and some festive ribbon, small gourds or silk leaf garland to add holiday flair. You could even ask guests to bring their family photos to add to the display, especially those of people who have passed as a way to honor them and share the day in spirit with them.
Last Minute Tablescape Idea #2 – “Elegant and Festive Tablescape”
Grab some tapered candlesticks and candlestick holders to set at center of the table, along with pillar candles that are set on top of cranberries or chestnuts or acorns inside glass hurricanes (all unscented) and arrange with gourds or festive ribbon or leaf garland to add a little extra holiday flair.
Last Minute Tablscape Idea #3 – “Last Minute Flower Centerpieces”
Call your local florist or grocery store floral department to put flowers together, or explain to get your own loose stems and arrange in a vase. Set them out at the center of the table with votives, and maybe even the festive ribbon or leaf garland. You could even create your own floral centerpiece using artificial flowers found at a dollar store.
