Veterans Day parades and ceremonies across WMass

Events to be held across region on Tuesday

(WWLP) – Communities across western Massachusetts will be honoring our nation’s veterans on Tuesday with parades, ceremonies, and special tributes. If you would like to come out and show your support for those who have defended our freedom, here is a listing of local events:

AGAWAM

  • Ceremony, begins at 10:45 A.M. at Agawam Veterans’ Green on Main St.

AMHERST

  • Ceremony, begins at 10:45 A.M. at Amherst Town Common

CHICOPEE

EAST LONGMEADOW

  • Parade, begins at 10:55 A.M. at American Legion Post 239, 3 Legion Ct. Marches down Maple Street to Town Hall for ceremony. Bells at First Congregational Church will toll 11 times.

GREENFIELD

HOLYOKE

NORTHAMPTON (LEEDS)

PALMER (THORNDIKE)

  • Parade, begins at 10:45 A.M. from Thorndike Post Office, runs to Veteran’s Park with ceremony to follow.

PITTSFIELD

  • Parade, begins at 10:00 A.M. from Fenn Street City Hall, to North Street, ending at Peace Memorial on Veterans Way. Ceremony to follow.

SPRINGFIELD

WARE

  • Parade, begins at 1:00 P.M. on Maple Street, proceeds to Veterans Park on Main Street for ceremonies.

WESTFIELD

  • Parade, begins at 11:30 A.M. with ceremony to follow at Parker Memorial Park.

WEST SPRINGFIELD

  • Parade, begins at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas School parking lot, continues to Town Common, with ceremony to follow.

WILBRAHAM

  • Ceremony, begins at 11:00 A.M. at Civil War Statue at Crane Park on Main Street.
