WINSTED, Conn. (AP) — A search is set to resume Monday for a missing boater in northwestern Connecticut.
State Police and crews from the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection are expected to return to Highland Lake in Winsted Monday morning.
Crews were called there Sunday evening after a boat carrying three men capsized. Two men made it to shore and were hospitalized for hypothermia. The third boater, described only as a 22-year-old man, did not surface.
Fire and rescue crews, helped by a State Police helicopter, searched Sunday night but were unable to locate the man.
Officials said the lake was about 53 degrees Fahrenheit on Sunday.
