STAMFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – An Ohio man caused a great deal of commotion early Sunday after officials say he was found on the roof of a moving Metro-North train. He was also on fire.

Metro-North tells News 8 the train left Stamford early this morning and suddenly lost power shortly after 5 a.m. The train then stopped in Greenwich to let passengers off and that’s when an alarming discovery was made.

Workers on-board went to check the top of the train and found 21-year-old Brian McCellen. Officials say McCellen was on fire. Crews used an extinguisher to put out the flames. McCellen was transported to Westchester Medical Center. His condition is unknown.

Right now it’s unclear how McCellen got on top of the train without anyone noticing or where exactly he was going. It’s also unknown how the train lost power and if it had anything to do with the 21 year old being on the roof.

The train was sent back to Stamford to be looked at. The matter is under investigation. No delays are being reported on the Metro-North Line.
