FARMINGTON, Conn. (AP) — Some members of Connecticut’s congressional delegation will be meeting with veterans and mental health professionals to discuss what mental health services are available and what are needed.
Monday’s discussion is scheduled to be held at Tunxis Community College in Farmington. It’s the third in a series of meetings organized by U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy to discuss what the federal government should do to help people facing mental health issues.
U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal and U.S. Rep. Elizabeth Esty also will be on hand for the meeting. They’re scheduled to be joined by numerous veterans and advocates for veterans, as well as the parents of a suicide victim.
