Pet Corner: AC Slater

AC Slater was brought to Dakin on October 27

Name: AC Slater
Breed: Shorthair mix
Age: 2 months old
Sex: Male
Color: Grey tabby coat

AC Slater was brought to Dakin on October 27 as part of a litter of 3 kittens. AC’s a typical 2- month-old kitten, full of zip and energy, but also very cuddly. Like all kittens, he’ll do best in a home where he is carefully introduced to other members of the family, especially other pets! As part of his adoption fee, AC will be neutered, micro-chipped, given the most up-to-date vaccinations and treatments, and will come with a gift certificate for a free examination at a participating veterinary office.

Weekly Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic – Each Thursday morning from 9-10am, Dakin offers low-cost vaccines and other treatments to the first 40 dogs and cats in line. Typical treatments include rabies shots, microchip implants, vaccinations against parvo, kennel cough and other diseases, distemper and feline leukemia vaccinations, etc. Visit for a listing of services and fees. These clinics are primarily intended to serve low-income community members, but all are welcome. The line forms early…sometimes as early as 7:30am, so be prepared and dress for the weather. We recommend you arrive before 8am to secure a place in line, and be sure your cat is in a carrier, and your dog is on a leash. Call 413.781.4019 for more info.
