BOSTON (WWLP) – Gregory Lewis, the suspected serial rapist who was arrested this week after a recent manhunt, will be returned to Mass. from New York.

According to the Mass. State Police, members of the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and the Southbridge Police Department will pick Lewis up on Friday in New York. Then, they will bring him to the Southbridge Police Station.

Lewis will also most likely be transported to Worcester District Court on Monday for arraignment, police said.

26-year-old Lewis spent six weeks on the run after cutting off the GPS monitoring device ordered by a judge following his arraignment in August on charges that included statutory rape of a child. He is suspected of committing a string of rapes, kidnappings and robberies of female escorts in North Carolina, Colorado and Oregon.
