HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Dozens of young Holyoke residents got a chance Thursday night to get to know one another.
The Holyoke Youth Task Force held a networking event at Dam Cafe. Many people shared ideas and brainstormed new ideas to create a healthier Holyoke for teens and young people living in Holyoke.
Glenn Johnson told 22News one of the projects he’s working on right now is conducting compliance checks with liquor stores and bars to make sure minors do not have any access to alcohol. He said, “So if we can postpone the age when the Holyoke youth are drinking then they are much less likely to become problem drinkers as adults.”
