HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) – The Fort river birding and nature trail officially opened on Saturday in the Hampshire county town of Hadley.
People who love the outdoors on a fine autumn day strolled through the mile long nature trail. Karen Foster of Belchertown told 22News, the walkway on moody bridge road is everything she had hoped for.
“Beautiful it was such a joy to walk through, it was absolutely gorgeous. My interest in coming here today was accessibility. I know it’s accessible for wheelchairs push a stroller and walking with a 3 year old that’s much easier,” said Foster.
The accessibility of the new nature trail has attracted the attention of the Stavros Center for independent living. They’ve praised the trail for providing access to people with disabilities.
