Hospital goes “pink” for breast cancer awareness

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) There was a sea of “pink” Friday at Noble Hospital’s Women’s Imaging Center in observance of breast cancer awareness month.

Noble hospital opened its imaging center in Westfield ten years ago. Thousands of women from western Hampden County have had their breast screening mammograms at that imaging center.

A mother-of-two from Westfield, Amy Yvon, appreciates the service and the convenience of this facility. “Many, many years ago the place wasn’t around and now it’s so important they have this kind of facility. People are very comfortable when they come here and the people are very nice,” Yvon said.

Imaging center supervisor, Donna Hemphill, recommends women have a mammogram every year.
