Suspect in fatal Worcester shooting caught in NYC

WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — The suspect in a fatal shooting in Worcester earlier this month has been caught in New York City. Police say 20-year-old Dominic Bonneville of Worcester was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge on Monday.

Bonneville faces murder and other charges when he returns to Massachusetts. It’s was not immediately clear when he would return. Bonneville is charged in connection with the Oct. 2 shooting of 19-year-old Christian Obeng at a Worcester apartment complex.

The victim was found lying on the ground suffering from serious gunshot wounds. Obeng died the next day. A 26-year-old man was also shot but survived. Police have not disclosed a possible motive.
