Springfield Rotary Club gears up for a good cause

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Rotary Club is gearing up for its 8k Run and Relay this Saturday.

The run starts and ends at the grandstand in Forest Park.

Jack Toner told 22News the Rotary Club of Springfield provides grants to many charities and organizations here in western Massachusetts and overseas. “The importance of the event really is our impact. We’ve been able to work with so many organizations over the years, we really want to help the city of Springfield, help the small ones grow,” he said.

Registration starts at $35 for the race and $130 for the relay. The race will begin at 9 AM Saturday morning at the grandstand in Forest Park.

All proceeds go to the Springfield Rotary Service fund and registration is open to the public.
