SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A Pride gas station on the corner of Avocado St. and West St. in Springfield was robbed early Tuesday morning. A manager from Pride told 22News the robbery took place around 12:00 AM.

Pride spokeswoman Marsha Delmonte told 22News a man entered the store around midnight claiming he was armed with a weapon, but didn’t show the cashier the alleged weapon.

Delmonte says a Springfield official told the gas station the suspect could also be responsible for a separate robbery that also took place late Monday night. She said that robbery occurred at McDonald’s in Springfield.

The robber got away with less than $200.
