Avg. retail gasoline prices continue to fall

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP)-  The average price for retail gasoline continues to fall in western Massachusetts.

“Average retail gasoline prices in Springfield have fallen 4.6 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.27/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy’s daily survey of 257 gas outlets in Springfield. This compares with the national average that has fallen 6.0 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.21/g,” according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

Sunday’s prices were 20.5 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 16.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

The national average has decreased 18.0 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 12.8 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago, according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.
