HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Dozens of people came out to the Holyoke War Memorial Friday night to experience live Latin jazz and salsa music. The third annual Latin Jazz Festival was put on by Passport Holyoke is just one event in this weekend’s Next Stop: Holyoke festival.
Mark Dunlap organized the event, and he says the music attracts people of all different backgrounds.
Mark Dunlap, The Passport Holyoke Co-President, told 22News, “It brings a lot of different members of the community together. So there will be a demographic mix if you walk in and see the audience. Latinos, people who are Polish and Irish, young and old.”
Next Stop Holyoke is a volunteer-led event sponsored by a variety of local businesses. It continues all weekend with several events through Sunday.
