HARTFORD, Conn. (Mass Appeal) – Ew! Bodies can be pretty gross–they’re crusty, stinky, and slimy–but do you know why? You can explore the good, the bad, and the downright ugly behind the ways your body keeps you healthy in the new Grossology exhibit at the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford.

Slide through a huge intestine, climb an oozy skin wall, tour an enormous nose, smell icky bodily smells and more!

Hartford’s hottest night out is going SPOOKY this Halloween! Join 1000 of your closest friends for creepy decor, live music, DJs and dancing, Halloween crafts, liquid delights and more. See our newest traveling exhibit, Grossology, while you’re here. Show us your eeriest costume for a chance to win awesome prizes!

4th Annual Spooktacular Science Weekend
Celebrate Halloween at our  4th annual Spooktacular Science Weekend!  Visitors will be treated to extra special fun for the whole family. All activities are included FREE with Connecticut Science Center Membership or the purchase of General Admission. Kids’ costumes are encouraged!

An evening with Kathleen Kennedy Townsend: Women Taking Power Seriously
Thursday, October 16th
6:00PM – 8:00PM

Women Taking Power Seriously, which will touch upon women in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering and math). A brief Q & A session will follow the talk.

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend was the first woman elected Lt. Governor of Maryland. A graduate of Harvard University and the University of New Mexico School of Law, she has served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General of the United States and is currently Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University’s School of Public Policy.
